ABOUT US

The Reiki License Commission is a spiritual healer licensing agency. We are a member of the Federation of Spiritual Healer License Boards (FSHLB).

The Reiki License Commission is a nonprofit charitable organization organized to license qualified Reiki Healers and Masters. The executive officers of the organization are volunteers who receive no compensation for the services they render, with the exception of the executive secretary and treasurer who are reasonably compensated.

The president is a volunteer elected annually by the membership to provide the following services:

    1. Oversee the operations of the Commission
    2. Supervise and audit the activities of the executive director
    3. Serve as the primary spokesperson for the executive board
    4. Serve as the chairman of the executive board

The first vice president is a volunteer elected annually by the membership to provide the following services:

    1. Assist the president of the Commission as needed
    2. Supervise the activities of committee chairpersons
    3. Serve as the vice chairman of the executive board
    4. Run for president of the Commission in the next election

The second vice president is a volunteer elected annually by the membership to provide the following services:

    1. Assist the president of the Commission as needed
    2. Assist the first vice president of the Commission as needed
    3. Audit the monthly financial reports of the Commission
    4. Serve as second vice chairman of the executive board

The executive director is an independent contractor paid to provide the following services:

    1. Maintain the membership database
    2. Maintain the organization web site
    3. Issue licenses to qualified applicants
    4. Answer all correspondence with members
    5. Mail out renewal notices in a timely manner
    6. Make all deposits of all monies collected
    7. Serve as the secretary of the executive board

The treasurer is a volunteer appointed by Infinity Pointe Executive Services who provides the following services:

    1. Audit all receipts
    2. Pay all expenses approved by the executive board
    3. Reconcile the banking accounts
    4. Serve as the treasurer of the executive board

The committee chairpersons are volunteers appointed by the president of the Commission and who provide the following services:

    1. Chair the committee to which they are appointed
    2. Report the activities of that committee to the executive board
    3. Vote on all matters to come before the executive board

The founding officers of the Commission are:

    1. President - Choi Zhu
    2. First Vice President - Susan Lyles
    3. Second Vice President - Yubaka Tan
    4. Secretary - I.P. Executive Services
    5. Treasurer - I.P. Executive Services

Elections for 2008 will be held the last week of December 2008. Nominations are open until December 15, 2008. All elections are held by email balloting.
