WHY WE NEED TO UPGRADE REIKI CERTIFICATION
Fifty years ago it took years to become a Reiki Master. Today it happens in one weekend. Apprentice Reiki Healers (Reiki I) were required to demonstrate how to generate and move large quantities of healing Ki energy before they were allowed to advance. Today students with little or no ability to generate and move any quantity of Ki are allowed to become Masters.
Reiki Healers (Reiki II) needed to demonstrate the ability to generate and move great quantities of Ki at a distance. They also needed to demonstrate the power embedded in the Reiki symbols and their command of the healing Ki energy. Today, if they look like they know what they're doing and they have the money to pay for their title, they advance. Very little testing is actually done.
Reiki Masters (Reiki III) were required to demonstrate mastery of Ki as a healing modality before they were invited to become a teacher. Today mastery is not required to teach others how to do what you can do. But if you are not a powerful master of Ki, how can your students become masters? It may be remotely possible that they can, but it is very unlikely for you are their mentor and their model.
Very few Reiki Teachers were accorded the honorary title of Master Teacher because so many of their students learned how to master the Ki healing energy and teach others to do the same. Today, anybody can call themselves a Reiki Master Instructor and nobody has the authority or ability to say otherwise.
There is an abundance of poorly trained Reiki Healers, Masters and Teachers who are certified by one group or another today. Those certification groups and teachers who demand excellence before advancing are few and far between. Look around, look inside yourself and you will know the truth of these words.
That's why we decided to attract the very best Healers, Masters and Teachers to upgrade the Reiki profession. We will license these selected few as Licensed Reiki Healers, Licensed Reiki Masters and Licensed Reiki Instructors. From this last group will be selected the Licensed Reiki Masters and Grandmasters to oversee the Reiki License Commission for Reiki Masters and Healers (RLCRMH).
